A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
Good morning Sushma,
- This behavior occurs in many directories. In each of these directories, there are 2 .xlsx files. One of these files is the same in all directories (copies) and this file is being hyperlinked to from the other file in the directory. That .xlsx file has different content but the same structure (this is the file that initiates the hyperlinks) in each directory.
It would be helpful if I could send you the 2 files involved. If you could email me at ******@gmail.com (0-that's a zero) I will send you the files (stripped down, so you won't have to look at unrelated data and formulas.
- Don't know. I usually use the "built-in" hyperlink command, which works fine at all times, but cannot be used here as I need to hyperlink to different workbooks in that first file.
- No.
Thanks for your help.
5/28/2016 - Still same problem.
It appears that Excel thinks that some files, in some directories, are "unsafe." But these same files, copied to other directories, are considered by Excel to be perfectly safe.
I don't know if the problem is the file or the directory it resides in.
I can easily provide examples, but Sushma has not continued his/her participation in this issue.
