I am trying to resize columns in a table and I can't.  The column edge just won't budge.  Does anyone have any suggestions on what do do about this?

Thanks,

Barton

I did, and had problems with that.  I have a similar table format that I have copied instead and pasted the contents of the table I was having problems with into.  This seems to be working.  Thanks for your help.

For future reference, note that you can make use of the AutoFit options on the Table Tools Layout tab. For example, if text columns are too wide to fit between the margins of the page, do the following: Click Table Tools Layout | AutoFit | AutoFit Window. Then click Table Tools Layout | AutoFit | Fixed Column Width, after which you should be able to drag column borders into the desired widths. If everything else fails, you can convert the table to text and then convert it back to a table.

Are you trying to do it by clicking and dragging the marker on the ruler?
