Split Document Icon Missing

In my previous versions of Word, I was able to click and drag a '-' icon from the top of the vertical scrollbar to view 2 parts of the document at once. In 2013, this seems to be missing. I have found the setting in the ribbon under View: Split and also keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+S, but is there a setting where I can add it back where it was before? I use this constantly and cannot get used to it being elsewhere.
