Field shading settings

Good morning

My workplace has recently upgraded to Microsoft Office 365.

In Word, I set the Field shading option to 'Always'.

However, every time I either create a new document or open an existing document, it defaults back to 'Never'.

Could you please show me how to save this setting so that it doesn't keep changing?

Thank you

    Hi Jiaxing

I'm still waiting to hear back from our Service Desk - they're flat out at the moment.

I'll let you know what they say as soon as I hear back from them.

    Thanks Paul.

I will ask our Service Desk to try that for me (as I don't have access to the Repair option).

Since this is an application-wide setting, the most likely explanation would be the presence of a Document_Open or AutoOpen macro that resets it each time a document is opened. Alternatively, your Office installation might be faulty. Have you tried repairing the Office installation (via Start > Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office (version) > Change > Repair)?
