Hi There,
Currently a few of our users are getting errors when saving excel files on a windows based server.
They don't get the issue on excel 2011 but since upgrading to 2016 there are permission issues.
The file loses all of its permissions and we have to re-add the permissions for the user to be able to save their work.
I thought maybe the issue could be to do with the file path but they have never had an issue with 2011 excel.
I am hoping someone can shed some light as to why this may be happening.
The Alert they get is this document cannot be saved.
It doesnt seem to happen if they save locally.

Hi,
Im not sure this will make a difference as its affecting 6 users that have upgraded to Office 2016.
They are bound to our domain.
So we know that it shouldn't be the profile causing the issue.
The file path is quite long to the server, but it worked fine on 2011.
Some have reverted back to 2011 due to this issue.
2016 office is all up to date also.

I would suggest you rather try setting up a new mac user on one of the macs having the issue and verify if the user is able to save to windows server from the new mac user
