I have one file that keeps causing Excel to crash, sometime it crashed when I enter data into a cell, other times it will crash when I'm deleting a row of data. Here is the Event Viewer information from the latest crash (which happened when I entered new data into a cell:

Faulting application name: EXCEL.EXE, version: 16.0.4480.1000, time stamp: 0x5847b92e

Report Id: 8d8fe6c1-f51a-11e6-ad80-b88a605e6f86

Faulting package full name:

Faulting package-relative application ID:

I can't figure out what is causing the problem. I have not had this problem with any of my other workbooks (which are setup the same as this one).

Let me know if there's system information I should post, I'm not sure what might be needed.

Here's a snapshot of my version of Excel:

We have reinstalled both the Office suite, and then an entire O/S update as well from when this problem first started and today.

    Thanks!

I checked through the Installed Updates and don't have KB3128048 listed.

Thanks for the information. I went through and followed all the steps (COM add-ins were already disabled from a previous attempt to correct this issue). I opened up the workbook and started working and the file crashed again.

Here is the info from the Event Viewer:

Faulting application name: EXCEL.EXE, version: 16.0.4480.1000, time stamp: 0x5847b92e

Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.10586.672, time stamp: 0x580efaf8

    Exception code: 0xc0000374

    Fault offset: 0x000dc799

    Faulting process id: 0x2f8c

    Faulting application start time: 0x01d28b831c3b61a3

    Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\EXCEL.EXE

    Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll

    Report Id: b18927b6-e76b-4db3-8703-f79931c55f2b

    Faulting package full name:

    Faulting package-relative application ID:

I should also mention the following:

    • I have saved the file as an Excel 97-2003 file type - still crashes
    • I have removed any conditional formatting that did exist - still crashes

    Thanks!

    Greg
