OneNote sharing issues

Hi,

I am using OneNote 2016. I have a notebook which I have created on OneDrive. The notebook opens fine on my computer and doesn't have any issues.

When I try to share it with others by email, the OneNote program just says "sending emails and sharing with the people you invited". The message disappears and nothing happens. My friends never receive the email.

If I try doing this on OneNote Online, I get the message "There was an error sending your sharing email. Please try again later". There are no error codes and this error has persisted for 3 days.

I can share a notebook by giving out a link and it works fine but for me this is not a secure enough solution.

I have tried sharing a folder containing the notebook on OneDrive but I appear to have similar issues.

Both accounts ended in @gmail.com

Sharing works from second account to first account but not the other way around.

Tried exactly the same process on both accounts.

Tried the first account on multiple computers, OneNote Desktop, Mobile, Tablet and Online, same issue on all devices. Tried a third account on the same OneNote Desktop on one of the desktop computers, without any issues.

I did all this and still have the issue. Tried the same process on a different Microsoft account without any issues. Issue appears to be limited to my OneDrive account. Any thoughts?

Are the domains (the string after the "@") of these Microsoft accounts different ?

If yes, please tell us both domains and the domain of the recipient.

That seems strange. However, let's do the Share OneDrive files and folders and see if this address the problem.
