Hello! We have a particular need to export content in shared mailbox to excel. Is this a feature supported for Outlook? We have attempted the process, however, we do not see the option to select when we go this route. Thanks.

    Hi @Daniel G ,

    Welcome to Q&A!

    As I know, Outlook desktop client can support exporting mailbox items to .csv files. Please check my steps below:

    1. Outlook > File > Open & Export > Import/Export
    2. Export to a file > Comma Separated Values

    3. Select the mailbox items you would like to export
    4. Select saved file location and then click Next
    5. Click Finish and your mailbox items will be saved like below

    Hope these could help.

    @JeffYang-MSFT

    I think that the question was about exporting a shared mailbox to Excel. The answer works well with a non shared mailbox, but could someone say if it is supposed to work with a shared mailbox (I cannot do it).

    Thanks,

    Gaston

    My solution is to re-activate the mailbox with a full license and build a temporary user profile on a local PC installing APPS for this user.

    Set up the email account in control panel manually ensuring that you flag the account to download ALL email (vs the standard one-year) via the time slider.

    Launch Outlook and wait for the profile to fully populate.

    Once fully populated - export to a CSV file and import that into Excel.

    Delete the license - you won't be charged as long at your license count remains the same at the end of the month.

    Good luck.
