Microsoft Office Programs Not Starting

I updated to Windows 10 but it would not recognise my monitors resolution so I was stuck with an "Out of Range" monitor, so I rolled back to Windows 7. However now none of my Office applications start -

opening Word, does nothing,

opening Access says "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side

configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail",

opening Outlook brings up "Microsoft Outlook has stopped working",

and opening Powerpoint, Excel, OneNote, and Publisher says: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000279)."

If you were using the default resolution all should have been OK unless your PC hardware/system does not support win10, and the PC makers site should have had that info, as well as the win10 update failing.

You need to run the system file checker sfc https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833

Then a windows update to check there are no failed updates, and finally an MS Office repair
