I inherited several Access databases when my coworker died suddenly.  These contain sql pass through queries that I am unable to run as they are looking for his odbc connection with his stored password.  How do I change the connection to my credentials so that the queries will run?

Thank you for your suggestion, but I was told it wouldn't work in my situation.  Instead, I was able to change the user ID and password in the properties of each query and the queries ran.  So, the problem is solved.

I'm curious as to who told you that and whether you even tried it.

You need to run the ODBC connection wizard to modify the DSN.

Assuming the Office installation is 32 bit, you would run the the odbcad32.exe file in the Windows\SYSWOW folder. If the Office installation is 64 bit, you can run the wizard from Administration tools in Control Panel.
