Excel 2016 constantly crashing

We have a user whose Excel 2016 goes into not responding quite often. She usually has multiple excel files open at once and they all go into not responding but no other programs are crashing. By changing the resolution on the monitor down to 720 fro 1080 or disconnecting from the docking station, the files will usually come back and not loose anything. We have ran all driver and windows updates. We have swapped out her laptop model more than once they are all HP's, she is now using a very powerful model with an i7 and 32 GB of RAM and it still happens. This has happened on both Windows 7 and Windows 10 but always Excel 2016.

The user does not have any issues with other office applications, only excel. This is the 3rd pc that the user has had the issue on so I don't think the installation of excel is the issue. Seems like it has to be some kind of setting or user profile issue that is causing it. We have a large number of users using the same image and don't have the issue.

Is this with a specific set of files perhaps?

Thank you for the update. Just to clarify, Does it only happen with Excel 2016 and not on other Office Applications?

Meanwhile, we recommend that you boot the laptop in Safe mode before you repair Excel 2016. This is for us to check if your Excel 2016 will work again.

We look forward to your reply.
