No, I am not referring to the comments. Let me reword my question and that might help.
I had two versions of one Word document, document A and document B. They were both the same document, but I sent document B to another person to review and make comments. While they were doing that I was making changes to document A. I wanted one
document with all of the comments and changes that had been made to document A and document B. So, I "compared" the documents A and B and saved the compared version as a new file, document C. The compared version, document C has all changes and comments that
had been made to both A and B, however, it is significantly larger in size (MB) than either of the two original versions of the document. The file size for documents A and B was 16 MB for A and 16 MB for B. Document C is now 22 MB. Is there a way to eliminate
whatever codes are in the "compared" file, document C so that the size will decrease? I tried just copying sections of document C into a blank document but the copying process apparently also captures whatever codes or data is hidden in document C that makes
it so large.
I hope this is clearer.
thank you
