I am trying to connect to another PC in local network. ipconfig shows the ip address is 192.168.0.7. I can connect to it using Remote Desctop Connection. But I get a 0x4 error using the Remote Desktop app.

    HI

0.Could you please enter winver in command prompt on local win10 computer and remote computer then look the os version and os version number ?[for example windows 10 enterprise 1809 (os build 17763.316)]

1.Do you use "remote desktop app for Mac" or "windows store remote desktop app" to get 0x4 error?

(1)If you are using "remote desktop app for Mac", we can check if below document can help you.

(2)If you are using "windows store remote desktop app", Could you please test below conditions?

If we try to uninstall "windows store remote desktop app" first then reinstalled the latest "remote desktop app" from windows store, will the same issue happen?

When we install the "windows store remote desktop app" on the other win10 computer and remote access the remote pc, will the same issue happen?

I use iOS RD app to connect to Windows 10 laptop by computer name, which I prefer to fixed IPs so as to simplify address management by my router's DHCP. After an interval of about six months (and updates to both devices) I tried to connect but discovered I could not gain access. Eventually tried adding '.local' to the computer name in the RD profile. This worked - no other change needed.

It was OK until I installed Resillio on both sites. I think Resillio is blocking the port of the MSRD. MSRD on Mac and trying to connect to Win 11. I'll be checking the firewall, port number(s), and if there is any other blockage against it.
