Excel Data Validation - List Capitalization

Hello everyone,

I am trying to create an Excel document with multiple fields to be completed. For one of my fields I want them to only be able to input specific options. I have created a list and using Data Validation set it as it has to be one of the list options. My issue is I need the capitalization to be exactly the same as the options in the list (the letters are mixed capital and lowercase for specific reasons and can't be changed) but I can type in any of the options in any case and it is accepting the answer and not changing the case to what I want it to be. Is there a way to create a formula or something similar so that if someone types the answer in the capitalization has to be exactly the same as the option in the list?

FYI... the list is too long to strictly type out (there are 49 options) and I tried typing them out but it cut me off.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Well sometimes every word needs to be capitalized but some options have whole words or acronyms that are capitalized as well.

    Hi,

Do you have the pattern for the data to which you wish to have capitalization and lower case usage such as - for all the entries the second or third letter should be capitalized or anything as such?

Please get back to us with necessary information, we’ll be glad to assist you further.

    Thank you.
