SharePoint Automatic updates

Hi,

I was wondering if SharePoint has the ability to update users automatically when a word document has been updated, changed, or removed?

For example.

My corporation has Corporate Policy on Safety and Health.

The company has to change policies every year due to OSHA changes or just for the purpose of creating better programs and policies.

The system is set up on SharePoint and has automatic updates to people who subscribe....the issue is.....YOU cannot tell what was changed...it only shows you the updated document.

Now this could be as easy as utilizing a highlighter.....just curious is there was an automatic process to let you know of changes and actually show you the changes that were made?

Thanks!

Hi Jacob,

To view the changes of a document, you can refer to the version history of the document. Comparing the current version of the document with its previous version will let you know what changes have been made. For more information, you can refer to the following articles.

    No,

    Thanks!  This was great.

It would be awesome when comparing documents from one version to the next…that if it showed by highlighting the differences between documents automatically.

So it stands out on the document
