Sharepoint Online Threshold List

Alright guys. I am in an absolute hole right now. I just migrated all of our companies data from Egntye to Sharepoint into site document libraries. I used a tool called skysync that migrated the data and permissions. Some document libraries though have 20,000 items in it and now a few of my document libraries for certain sub-sites are over the 5,000 list item threshold. I really need to find a way to fix this because it is stopping me from managing folders. I need to set permissions for some folders and it wont let me and I am concerned users will run into issues with files that they would use constantly on Egnyte. Increasing the threshold of course would be the easiest way but we do not have an On premise sharepoint it is solely online and to be honest sharepoint online is a long way from being done. Any help would be appreciated as I am on a tight schedule to finish all of these sub sites as I am deleting uses from Egntye. Thank you :)!

Hi Jonathan,

For SharePoint Online, the 5000 item List View Threshold limit can't be changed.

To work around the limit, we can do the following actions:

Index and filter

Using folders to organize

Using Document center site

Synced and offline data

You may refer to the following articles for the details:

Manage large lists and libraries in SharePoint

Manage large lists and libraries in Office 365

If you get any issue when performing those actions, please post a new thread in this forum and we will try our best to assist you.

Regards,

James
