    Hi Paul,

You can change the direction of Excel to left-to-right with steps below:

    1. Click File > Options > Advanced > Display, select Left-to-right for Default direction.
    2. Uncheck the Show sheet right-to-left option under Display options for this worksheet.

About the Arabic “Sheet1” tab, please confirm if you have ever used Arabic as the display through File > Options > Language > Choose Display Language.

If so, try changing it to Arabic, and then back to English again.

Meanwhile, please provide the screenshot of the Product information of your Office application (Click File > Account > Product Information) and the Chose Display Language setting page.

    Regards,

    Jiaxing

    Dear sir,

    it seems you are Chinese.

I have uninstalled Arabic before. the default direction is left-to-right. I cancel the selection of show sheet right-to-left, then the sheet direction will be left-to-right. I create a new sheet, it's still right-to-left. If I create a new sheet by blank sheet, it's normal.

I just repair office 365 online, after repair, I open a new worksheet. It is ok the direction, but the language change to Danish. Since Arabic which I have uninstalled before is the first position in the program list, I guess the new worksheet direction and language may same with the position of language list. Now it's Danish in first position after I repair it.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for your update and glad to hear the direction is normal now.

Based on your description, the language changes to Danish after you repair the Office 365. I would like to suggest you ensure you have set the same default language under Choose Display and Help Languages for all Office applications. In this case, please close all Office applications and restart your computer.

    Regards,
