I deleted a user earlier today on the AD on premise  ( I run a hybrid configuration)

Now i am trying to restore the user's mailbox back on the o365 portal but i keep getting the error the user restore failed. cannot restore user at this time:correlation code.

I have tried severally to no avail.

Has anyone had this issue n scaled through?

I need assistance please.

Hi OmotolsAjai,

We need to restore the user from on-premise AD.

In hybrid environment, the Office 365 user is synced with on-premise AD. After the on-premise AD user is deleted, we cannot directly restore it from Office 365. We need to first restore the AD user, then Directory sync service will restore the Office 365 user.

Thanks,

Young
