Running Windows 10 and Office 365...Excel has  suddenly started opening as an icon in the taskbar only.  It will not open to a full screen.  Happens when open the app or opening a excel file with Explorer.  All other Office apps operate normally.  I have a seconf user on  this computer and Excel functions normally for the second user.  Repair functions, both quick and online, do not  correct the problem.  Virus scans are negative.  Any ideas on what I have done and how to  correct ????

    Hello,

Let us try starting Excel application in safe mode and check if it work as expected.

    • Press the ‘Windows + R’ key on the keyboard.
    • In the ‘Run’ window type Excel /safe and press ‘enter’.

Note: there is a space between the word Excel and the /

If Excel works as expected in application safe, then disable the add-in(s) by following the steps below and verify the status.
