Delay when changing settings

We are new to O365.  As an Admin I am getting increasingly frustrated with the lag time between when I make a settings change and when it takes effect.  A good example is giving someone permissions to a shared mailbox.  Once I make the setting, it takes an average of 15 minutes before that user can actually connect to the mailbox.  The same is true of calendars.

Is there any way to make such changes take effect in a more timely manner?  It's a real hit to my productivity to have to keep coming back to administrative tasks instead of just getting them done.

Hi Romeyn,

You're correct, there's no way to manually modify it. We'd appreciate your understanding.

Thanks,

Jim

    Hi Romeyn,

I would like to explain that it is normal that there is some delay when admin gives someone permissions.

How long it will take for the changes to take effect is related to the Network environment and the current status of the server.

    Thanks for your understanding

    Thanks,

    Qing
