PowerPoint for Mac - Align to Slide Function Bug

Hi All,

I have 3 users in the business with Mac devices using Powerpoint 2016 for Mac version 15.32 and one user on version 15.30. The users on 15.32 are all reporting a bug with the Align to Slide function where it doesn't align multiple selected items. I have tried this on my personal Mac outside of the organisation (also 15.32) and get the same problem. The user on version 15.30 is unaffected.

Is this a known issue with PowerPoint for Mac v15.32?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi All,

Please update your PowerPoint to the latest version, which is version 15.34, and let us know if you still have this issue.

Regards,

Sheen

Correct, the alignment works with individually selected items but when you select multiple items (via right click) and then attempt alignment nothing happens, the button can be clicked but does not work.

The 15.30 user does nothing different, I have witnessed both.

I think If I select Align to slide and e.g. Align Right the shapes would align to the right edge of the slide. That's what used to happen in Windows versions.

Please provide a complete description of what is expected, what specific steps are being taken, the settings being used, what type of 'items' are involved & how the result differs from the expectation. Also, might the 15.30 user be doing differently? Explicit details are important.

Just for clarification: Simply selecting Align to Slide should not be expected to cause the selected objects to move... it isn't until values are entered for Horizontal & Vertical Position that the objects are repositioned. The will then be stacked at the designated coordinates measured from either the Top Left or the Center of the slide depending on the From choice. In order to maintain their placement relative to one another they first must be Grouped.

FWIW, using version 15.33 I'm not seeing any issue - all works as expected.

Doesn't seem to work on my Mac (15.33) either or on my PC 365(2016) with the latest version 7967.2139

UPDATE It's a problem on the Mac but on the PC it was self inflicted with an AddIn I am developing!
