    Hi Ramangoel,

Are there any updates? Do Dale's suggestions work for you?

    Raman --

From your description of the problem, it sounds like:

    • Your company is using Project Online (Project Server 2016 in the Microsoft cloud).
    • The user is navigating to the Tasks page in Project Web App (PWA) and cannot see the Task Name column.

Would you please confirm that these two assumptions are correct?  Assuming they are, you should know that the Task Name column is a column that Project Online does not allow to be removed from the views shown on the Tasks page, which is why this column is grayed out.  I would suggest the user try the following:

    1. Navigate to the Tasks page in PWA.
    2. Float the mouse pointer over the Start column header, click the drop down arrow button, and select the Configure Columns item.
    3. In the Configure Columns dialog, set the Width value of the Task Name column to any value greater than 37, such as 100, for example.
    4. Click the OK button.
    5. Manually widen the Task Name column as needed to show the complete task names.

Please let us know if this helps.

    Hi Ramangoel,

To better understand the situation, I’d like to confirm the following things:

    1. By “Project sever 2016 online version”, do you mean Project Online in Office 365 (Click Project tile in the Office 365 portal) or on-premises Project 2016 server?
    2. Is the issue only related to that specific user? Can you capture a screenshot from her side and another user’s side. We want to compare the difference. It’s better to capture screenshot from another user who has the same permission with this user.
    3. Capture a screenshot for “she try to add the task name column from configure column option it shows grayed out”.

    Best regards,

    Tim
