Hello,

In OneDrive we all have a "Shared with Everyone" folder. I understand that the permissions for that folder allow access to all but how do I browse another users folders if they don't send me the link?   Thanks Bob

Hi Bob,

In this situation, the only way you can access the shared with everyone folder is modifying your OneDrive for Business URL. For example, the URL of your OneDrive for Business library is https://domain-my.sharepoint.com/personal/username_domain_onmicrosoft_com/_layouts/15/onedrive.aspx ,you need to edit the highlighted part of your's to other users' accounts.

Thanks,

Sky

Hi Bob,

Sorry, I have updated the thread just now. Please refresh the page to check the workaround.

Yes, it is quick to share files using this folder. But as you can see, one shortcoming is shared users has no direct way to access it. In addition, Starting August 1st, 2015, the Shared with Everyone folder will no longer be provisioned for new users. For details, refer to: Provision the Shared with Everyone folder in OneDrive for Business

Thanks,

Sky

    Hi Sky,

I understand how to share a file or a folder in the way you describe above,  what I am confused about is the default folder titled "Shared with Everyone" that appears in all of our OneDrive accounts.  What is the purpose of this folder and why does OneDrive create it automatically?   It seems like it is a quick way to share files with other users on your team without going through the process of creating a link?   Thanks  Bob
