Error when using the Excel spreadsheet compare export function

Does anyone have the resolution for the following issue with Excel spreadsheet compare export function?

Our company is using Office 365 / Office 2013

We have not been able to resolve the following issue: Using Excel 2013, user is receiving "Excel spreadsheet compare export fail fast exception error. 

  • "A fail fast exception occurred. Exception handlers will not be invoked and the process will be terminated immediately"
  • "Unable to save the export file".
  • Error: The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT:0x800706BA)

Tried several test. The copy results function is currently working but the export function still fails regardless of spreadsheet size. We did a simple 2 cell spreadsheet with one change and it fails with (*attached) errors.

Made the following changes to Group Policy:

w/Elevated rights: ran "gpedit.msc" command. goto: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> Network Connections -> Windows Firewall -> Domain Profile:Here, enabled the following:

– Allow inbound remote administration exception

– Allow inbound file and printer sharing exception

Microsoft 365 and Office | Excel | For home | Windows
