Adding a variable text field

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a presentation that will allow me to enter a participants name on the first slide, and have that name automatically populate text boxes in later slides, effectively personalising the presentation for each participant.

I can't find any viable way to achieve this where the name might be required in the middle of some existing text.

For example, on the first slide, I enter the participants name as David.

On slide 3 may be some text that says, "Welcome to this presentation David, we hope you this session." where I'd like the name to populate based on the text entered on slide one.

There may be other slides further in the presentation that also include this reference.

Any assistance you can provide as to how this might be possible would be appreciated.

Winston
