    What should be the file size of excel to creat pivot table if data is More than 50000 rows x 100 columns. System memory is 4gb and  64 bit os. Pl  explain in detail. And  give me any vb for pivot table creation.

    Is there any way to solve this problem like making some vb to do pivot table. I had tried this on 64 bit system also. But same error.

    Hi,

    50000 rows of data would qualify as a small dataset.  Looks like it is a deficient RAM issue.  You may also considering upgrading to 64 Bit.

    Various MS documents (do a Google on Excel pivot table memory) state the maximum Pivot Table size is limited by computer memory.

    How much do you have? I have 12 GB so it you have less visit my website (see the people.stfx.ca..... link at end of message) to get my email and send me a sample file. Then we can see if 12 is enough.
