Overlapping 365 Subscriptions

On a new computer, we created a Microsoft account under my wife's email address to use the trial month subscription of 365. A few days later, I purchased a family subscription with my email address on a second computer, and added her to the family. She clicked the link in the "join family" email, but when she signs in, it recognizes her trial subscription only- not the family subscription, so she does not have access to the shared one drive storage etc.

We have tried signing out of everything we can, and accepting the invite, but any time she signs in it only recognizes the trial. Is there a way force it to see the family subscription, or deactivate the trial?

Thank You
