Here we go again.  Every once in a while, I'm experiencing a gold squiggly line under everything I type.

Here's an example:

I managed to fix the red-squiggle problem, but I've no clue what to do about this.

Help.

Usually, squiggly underlines indicate spelling errors. Which language is applied to text? If you select all the text and apply your flavor of English via Review | Language | Set Proofing Language, the underlines should go away.

For more on spellchecking in Word, see http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/MasterSpellCheck.htm.

Nathanlenz, it seems that the AutoCorrect option in your Word 2016 might have been changed at some point. What we would suggest is that you modify the AutoCorrect option on your Word 2016, you can check the article below for more information:

Choose AutoCorrect options for capitalization, spelling, and symbols

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi Nathanlenz,

To better assist you with your concern, we would like ask what application are you using when you get the gold squiggly when you type?

We look forward to your reply.
