Word document changes position on the screen

When I create a Word Document (Office 365) I move the position of the document (drag it to the right), so it is in the middle of the screen.  I save the document and when I open it again, it reverts back to the original position (shifts about 3/4" to the right.

Is there a way to preserve the position?

I can provide screenshots id needed.

I'm not using W2016 on Mac. However, the following may not have changed between versions:

In W2011 on Mac, documents open preserving the window width of the document that was last displayed as frontmost.

There are two parameters saved with each documents:

  1. Zoom percentage in each view when saved (Print Layout or Draft)
  2. Current view when saved (Print Layout or Draft)

I may not be 100% right, but that's how I remember it. So there's no way you can save a document's position as "centered."

    Hi Jacsdad,

Thanks for the updates. Now we know the issue only happens in Word and the version is 15.36. You can post the screenshot here by Reply>Click the Insert Image button.

Thanks for uploading the image here so that we can know the issue more clearly. After that, we will try to reproduce it by our side to check if this is related to a specific version bug.

    Thanks,

    Rena

    Hi Jacsdad,

To know more clearly about the issue, please provide the information below:

    1. The screenshot about the issue.
    2. What’s the Office version? You can go to Word>About Word to check that.
    3. Does the issue only happen to Word? What about other Office applications?

    Thanks,

    Rena
