When is this issue going to be addressed?

this is a Microsoft bug / issue that.

  1. should be acknowledged (so i dont waste development time) before finding out its a Microsoft release issue.
  2. Should of been fixed by now.

whats the story ?

This is not good enough.

i need explanation and answers.

we are a large organisation over numerous sites,  active in 20+ Access Databases.

why should we be paying for product that is broken? for 100's of subscribers to the office 365 platform.

Microsoft has released update 1709 which resolves the issue of the scrollbars not working introduced by update 1707.  So be sure to update your installation.

If you need more information, feel free to read my blog post on the subject: http://www.devhut.net/2017/08/04/access-2016-form-scrolling-doesnt-work/

Have you tried any of the proposed workarounds (look at the comments at the end) in the article posted above?

Having this problem also and it makes many of our access forms useless.  Looking for a solution.

Not to discourage you, but there are continuously new bugs with all the software (Excel, Word, ...) This is nothing new.

    Broken treeview ActiveX controls

    Images not displaying

    Action queries crashing Access

    Properties not being saved

    And the list goes on...

This is the reality of today's Microsoft.  As fellow MVP Rohn007 puts it:

    "Computer Haiku:

    Yesterday it worked.

    Today it is not working.

    Microsoft is like that."

To add to that, Microsoft, like most big corporations, has very poor public communication.  We never get any status updates regarding fixes.

They have very recently created the bug and fixes site (link can be found at the url you posted), but even there they don't give any ETAs, so it remains entirely a waiting game.

There is little that anyone can do.  That said, you always have the choice to use any number of alternate software applications.

Just know you are not alone, a great many feel your pain!
