    Hi Mark,

It is expected behavior that users who have no Exchange Online mailboxes may have issue with viewing or adding comments to a task and issues with viewing their favorite plans in Planner. Please kindly refer to the detailed information in this article.

If it is not your scenario, please post a new thread in the forum since we mainly focus on one issue in one thread. We appreciate your understanding.

    Regards,

    Tina

    Hi Vic,

Thanks for your update in private message.

Since you don't have Exchange online license, it may be the cause that you cannot use comments in Planner normally.

You can refer to detailed information in this article Microsoft Planner for admins.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Tina

    Hello MS Team,

Any thoughts as to when this might be resolved?  I'm piloting Planner for my firm, and we are still at a hybrid mode of Exchange online and on-premises mailbox.  The comment history, the auto-notification that it generates to members are all great features.  Looking at solutions attempted, It's not possible to delete and re-enter tasks when there is already comments, and potentially a large number of tasks.  I understand the prioritization of features, but this seems more like a bug.  Any insights or updates would be great.  Thank you.
