Hi,

We have a SharePoint template that we use in sharepoint online.

when we add a new testbox to the text is always in uppercase, I know that we can change it from the ribbon by checking out the uppercase.

but problem is when adding a new textbox again we have to go to the ribbon and remove the check mark of uppercase.

can we change this setting so we don't have to do this with every textbox.

Thanks

    Hi Shahin,

In your post, you mentioned about SharePoint template, that is why I wanted to confirm more about SharePoint site.

Now, as you mentioned it is a PowerPoint issue, please check if All caps option is checked in the PowerPoint template itself. If this option is checked in template, then any changes made in it will appear in caps. To avoid this, you must upload a new template and make sure All caps option is not selected.

Let me know if this resolves the issue.

    Thanks,

    Neha

    Hello Neha,

    Thanks for your reply,

As I mentioned this is a PowerPoint template that our users using it. I think we should not concentrate on the version of sharepoint itself but the PowerPoint.

Users from a document library in the sharepoint download a PowerPoint template and then try to change some text and then use it.

If I open the PowerPoint Tempelet in any version of PPT and go to the  Insert-Textbox and then add a textbox when type anything there it shows in uppercase

To correct this each time I have to go to the the ribbon by checking out the All Caps option:

Problem is each time that I add a new texbox I have to disable the option All Caps.

is it possible to disable it for entire PPT document?

    Hi Shahin,

To understand the issue, we would like to confirm the following information:

    1. Where are you adding the textbox? Please provide detailed steps with related screenshots to get the clear vision.
    2. Please provide the screenshot of the ribbon where you remove the check mark for uppercase.
    3. Please add a textbox in a different site collection and then check if it’s in uppercase. This is to verify if the textbox is in uppercase for the site which is created from a template.
    4. Are you working in modern SharePoint site or classic?

    Thanks,

    Neha
