When I am adding data to an Excel 2016 spreadsheet, Excel is automatically adding thick outside cell borders in the line I am working on. This is now happening to all my Excel 2016 worksheets. How do I turn off this automatic thick outside border? it is not selected. All Rules have been cleared in the Conditional Formatting, as well, yet Excel still inserts thick outside borders every time I enter data into any cell.

    Hi Jen,

There are possible reasons why you're experiencing this problem. This could be an issue with the Excel app itself, incorrectly configured drivers or system update. The support page on this link mentions the borders issue. For us to resolve this issue, we suggest that you install KB4011165. Detailed steps and information on how to perform this are all provided on the link.

Let us know if this will help address your concern.
