Using Flow when you cannot create a Microsoft account

This could be something very simple I'm missing... any help would be appreciated.

I want to use the Flow program to move files from one folder on Onedrive (shared with multiple people) into another secure Onedrive folder that only i have access to. Sounds simple.

My problem is that in order to use Flow, you must sign in with a Microsoft account ( i assume this has to be the same account that has access to the One drive). My Office 365 account is a business account, issued by the company and used for business purposes.

My work email address does not have a Microsoft account, only an Office 365 account. When i try to create a Microsoft account, it tells me that" You can't sign up here with a work or school email address. Use a personal email, such as Gmail or Yahoo".

The whole point of this flow is to move files inside of my business 365 Onedrive. If i cannot use Flow without being signed into a Microsoft account, and i cannot create a Microsoft account with my work email address, then how do you use Flow for business purposes? It is an included program for Office 365 Business edition, and it looks like Flow was made to be used by businesses, so what am i missing here??????

    Hi FJG81,

I managed to get onto it once by navigating to the Flow program in a different way, instead of selecting the Flow icon from apps, but i can't for the life of me remember how i did it sorry! I have just tried to replicate with limited success.

I have given up on Flow, as the one task i set it to do using a template already provided (move files from sharepoint drive folder A to  sharepoint drive folder B  when somebody uploads to folder A) worked beautifully for a few days, and then one day decided to simply delete all files  from folder A instead. It caused me a great deal of trouble, and a few angry clients by the time i realised. Whatever is going on with Flow, it's not worth the trouble.

    Hi FJG81,

If you are also getting the same error when trying to access OWA, it might be related to your account. We suggest creating a new thread and providing details such as screenshots in the post so that our engineers can focus on resolving the issue.

    Regards,

    Sheen

    Hi Bradley,

Let me know if you still have any questions regarding logging into Microsoft Flow using a work/school account.

    Regards,

    Sheen

Was this issue resolved? I have a similar issue when trying to use Microsoft Flows with other Microsoft apps in my office 365 enterprise suite. I get an error saying check account permissions. I get the same error when trying to access the outlook web app.

    Hi Bradley,

At which point of action did Flow ask for your Microsoft account?

Please try to sign in via the Office 365 Portal and click on the App Launcher > All Apps > Flow to sign in to flow using your work/school account.

In addition, please note that for your work/school account, the app is called OneDrive for Business and not OneDrive. If you are asked to sign in when creating the Flow, you might be creating a Flow for a personal OneDrive, which is why it is asking for the personal OneDrive credential.

Some screenshots of the interface would also help us in understanding the situation.

    Regards,

    Sheen
