PowerPivot bug - slicer "sort data source order"

I have encounter what appears to be a bug in PowerPivot (Excel 2016 64-bit)

In my data model, I have a text column ("Year-Quarter").  Data looks like "2017-Q2", "2017-Q1", "Other"

This text column is sorted by another (numeric) column ("Year-Quarter Number"). Data looks like 1, 2, 3

The sorting works correctly.

However, when I create a slicer based on "Year-Quarter", it completely ignores data source sort order. No matter how I sort the underlying field, the slicer's sort order stays the same.

The same model exported to PowerBI does not have this issue, the slicer sorts correctly.

Questions:

  1. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed a bug?
  2. How to bring it to Microsoft developer's attention?

Thank you.

Actually, while the 2 forums mentioned Vijay do provide more technical and more product specific user support, in the hope that someone will suggest a fix or workaround, if you want to report it as a bug directly to MS developers the place to do the is using the "Feedback" command in Excel

    SEND FEEDBACK TO MS DEVELOPERS

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

This link above is to a “Forum Article” describing the various ways you can now submit “Feedback” directly to MS Developers and Managers.
