In the article linked below it is shown that you can create a map chart using a buttom, however trying to make it in my own excel I couldn't find the button.

Hope you can help me.

I have tried reinstalling excel and updating. I am using excel 2016 but also tried the 365 trial which didn't have the button either. I am running macOS High Sierra.

Please look at your screen shot.

The Map option is right there. It's the orange button labeled Bing Maps. The button is just under the View tab of the Ribbon in your screen shot.

Do you have an Office 365 subscription? This feature is exclusive to Office 365 subscribers (see text below the video in your linked article): Note: This feature is only available if you have an Office 365 subscription. If you are an Office 365 subscriber, make sure you have the latest version of Office.
