In the faq for AAD Connect, the answer to the best practices question states the following,

Backup everything

  • Backup Keys
  • Backup Synchronization Rules
  • Backup Server Configuration
  • Backup SQL Database

But you are not told how you can perform backup of these items.
We have AAD Connect version 1.4.18 running in our environment.
The DB is placed on the LocalDB of the default Express installation of SQL (SQL Management Studio is not installed).

In the AAD Connect tool, I can only view the settings, not export them.
And in the Synchronization Service tool, the Export Server Configuration is greyed out.

So how are we supposed to backup the items listed in the FAQ?
