Excel 2016 PowerQuery error: [DataSource.Error]: The Web.Page function requires Active Scripting to be enabled in the Internet Explorer options.

Trying to get data from a website datasource url in excel 2016.Keep getting the following error despite active scripting already being enabled. 

PowerQuery error: [DataSource.Error]: The Web.Page function requires Active Scripting to be enabled in the Internet Explorer options. Please see mswebsite for details on how to enable Active Scripting

If I navigate to the data source url in the browser all the data is available.

    Hi Dec63,

    Please open IE, and make sure the Active Scripting is enabled. Here are the steps:

    1. Click Tools (gear icon)> Internet Options on the browser menu bar.
    2. Click the Security tab.
    3. Click the Internet icon.
    4. Click Custom Level.
    5. Click the Scripting > Active Scripting list item.
    6. Make sure Enable is selected.

    1. Restart your computer.

    1. Detailed steps and related screenshots about how you encounter the issue. Where is the data source? Please also provide detailed steps and related screenshots about how you create the data source.
    2. Does the issue occur to other Power Query data sources? Does the issue only occur to this Power Query data source?

    3  Does the issue occur to other people in your organization?

    1. Has this Power Query worked before? If so, what actions have you performed before the issue occurred for the first time? For example, a system update and a software installation.
    2. Your Windows OS version and Office version.

    For Windows OS version, press Windows key + S to search for About your PC. Please capture a screenshot like below.

    For Office version, you can find it by clicking File > Account > Product Information. Please capture a screenshot like below.

     

    Then click  About Excel to share with us the bit version (32 bit or 64 bit).
