Hi Michael,
From your description, the issue you are experiencing seems to be that the options in the Class Notebook tab are greyed out.
If yes, please first try the following to see the result.
- Check if the OneNote 2016 for Mac’s version is the latest version. If no, update its version first, restart your Mac and open the application again.
- Re-sign in to OneNote 2016 for Mac via the following steps and then do a test.
a. From Finder Go/Go to Folder (Shift+Cmd+G).
b. Enter "~/Library/Containers" and press Go (Return key).
c. Find the "com.microsoft.onenote.mac" folder.
d. Select and delete that folder using File/Move to Trash (Cmd+Delete).
e. Delete this folder: ~/Library/Group\ Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office.
f. Open Spotlight by selecting the magnifying glass at the top right of your desktop.
g. Search for and open Keychain.
h. Type in Office and then delete the data license file:
Microsoft office Identities Cache 2
Microsoft Office Identities Settings 2
i. Restart your Mac.
j. Try launching OneNote2016 for Mac and signing in again.
Meanwhile, to clarify the issue, I’d like you to confirm and provide the following.
- Upload some related screenshots about the issue.
- Check if the issue only happens in the specific notebook.
- If you create a new class notebook, what’s the outcome?
- Upload a full screenshot of the page showing the version information of the OneNote 2016 for Mac application you are using. You can access the page via OneNote>About OneNote.
Thanks,
Cliff
