Hi,

I have an issue where if I assign a task to certain people I get the below message:

We couldn't complete your request because your item or storage limit has been exceeded. Technical details

Correlation ID: 2b13980d-****-4187-98b2-94**********

Time Stamp: Wed, 21 Mar 2018 15:20:37 GMT

I have deleted over 100 completed tasks and still have the same issue.

Please can I have some guidance ?

    Hi Richard,

Please check if the issue happens to all users as well as a new created user when assigning tasks.

If the issue only happens to some certain users, not all, I think the affected people may have already been assign the maximum 250 tasks. Therefore, you can't assign more to them. You can see the Planner limitation in this thread: Planner Limitations.

If this is the case, you need to delete some cases (such as closed ones) which have been assign to affected user before and see if it helps.

    Regards,

    Sky

    Hi Richard

    Exactly the same my side.

This originally started with my planner account and is now affecting a colleague as well, we have deleted a large number of tasks(which defeats the purpose of us using planner).

it seems that the issue being:

    • 250 assigned tasks per user irrespective of plans

as this issue is happening across multiple plans.

However(what i have noticed),  if i create a card myself and assign myself to it, it works as intended.(this apparently falls under the - 1500 tasks can be created by an user irrespective of plans), but then should this not fall under the 250 assigned tasks per user as well...

but if my colleague were to create a card and tries to assign it to me(or i try assign that card myself) the error occurs.

i have also been redirected a number of times by support to the following link, this is not the same error however(unless they have changed the error message since:

    https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525-microsoft-planner-feedback-forum/suggestions/16700584-remove-250-task-limit-per-person-per-plan

    Thank you

    Rick

    Hi Rick,

I have also deleted multiple tasks which were completed/ongoing and still no luck as to assigning 2 of my colleagues to them, as per my first post this problem for me only happens with 2 of my colleagues and they have also deleted tasks yet the problem still exists.

@Sky have you lifted the limitations for this as I still have this problem ?

    Many thanks,

    Richard Bowen

    Hi Richard

Currently having this same issue on my side, and have also removed quite a considerable amount of tasks(with no joy, as the issue persists)

    @Sky Pei

i have reviewed this link you provided before and after being directed there countless times by tickets logged with Support for this issue.

as per the link and Joanna;s response:

    "

    Hello all!

The Planner team has lifted limits users may have hit in the past. We will continue to monitor usage and proactively increase limits as we see them needing to be raised. Although we won’t be publishing official documentation on what these limits are, we do want to assure our users that Planner is a product that can scale well to a large group or organization. Planner has been successfully adopted by teams of all sizes, and we are committed to ensuring that this isn’t something our users will need to think or worry about.

    Cheers,

    Joanna Parkhurst, PM Planner"

has this limit not been removed?

    Thank you

    Rick
