Developer Ribbon: XML: Only "Source" appears?

Hello!

We have one Excel 2016 user with some issues related to the XML features in the Developer ribbon. For this one user, only "Source" shows. All of the other commands are missing from the XML section of the Developer ribbon: no "Map Properties", "Import", "Export", etc.

Other users logging in to the same computer don't have this issue.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Christopher Fox

Possible that there are add-ins that blocks you from using the Developer options while in normal startup. Check add-ins and disable them while in safe mode, then restart Excel and open it in normal mode to see if you can access the Developer ribbon features.

If you have other questions, do not hesitate to reply on this thread.

    Thanks.

When Excel is launched in Safe Mode, every feature in the XML tab of the Developer ribbon appears as it should. Does that help diagnose the issue when launching Excel normally?

Thanks for the information, Christopher. For this concern, we recommend that the user in concern open Excel in safe mode to see if he will experience the same. Also, have him record a macro on both normal and safe mode before going to the Developer ribbon as a workaround.

Should you have any other questions, feel free to reply on this thread.

This is Office 2016 Professional running on Windows 10 64-bit.

Other users logging in to the same computer do not experience this issue. We have not tested having the affected user log into a different computer to see if the issue persists, but will try that.

In the meantime, and suggestions on how to diagnose and resolve this issue for this user on this specific computer?

    Thanks.
