Sharepoint designer Workflow getting triggered for Item creation while it is configured for Item modified- Sharepoint Online 2013

Question

Hi,

I have a document library where users are required to create document using custom template associated with custom content type.

I have many workflows associated to the library which should be triggered upon document modification. However the workflows are getting triggered upon clicking "New" link before the new document being checked-in.

What was expected is that it should trigger workflow when all the metadata is filled and document check-in.

Please let me know how to achieve the same.

If you would like to set the workflow triggered when the item is modified in the SharePoint library, I would like to suggest you ensure the Start Options of Start workflow automatically when an item is created is not checked for the document workflow.

Besides, to better understand your situation and help you, please provide the information below:

1. Does the issue occur to one specific workflow in specific site?
2. Detailed steps about how you create the workflow and related screenshots about the workflow.
3. Related screenshots about the document library you are working on.
