Convert to hubsite

Hi All

I am not much familiar with SharePoint online, i have a team site, can it be converted to hub site. will the team site loose any permissions or data if it is converted to hub site. please guide me on this.

    Hi @Roger Roger ,

    Yes, a team site can be converted to hub site, please take a reference to the following steps.

    • Go to the Active sites page of the new SharePoint admin center, and sign in with an account that has admin permissions for your organization.
    • Selcet the team site in the Active sites list -> Click Hub button in the ribbon -> Select Register as hub site.

    • Enter a display name for the hub site, and specify the individual users or security groups you want to allow to associate sites with the hub.

    The team site will not loose any permissions or data if it is converted to hub site.
