Excel Hyperlinks change when e-mailing file

I have excel files on a server that uses full file paths as links to other documents on the server.  Anyone can open the excel file from the server and the links all work fine.  If I send a person a link in a e-mail to the excel file they can open it and the links work fine.  But if myself or anyone else copies and pastes the document in a e-mail it changes all of the links to point to my local computer temporary "\internet files\content.outlook".  I have taken word files put a hyperlink in them and did the same thing and the links never change when the document is e-mailed.  Why do all the links change when the excel files are e-mailed?

Word and Excel, and all of the other "Office" programs started totally independently. Some were not even written by MS originally, ie Visio and PowerPoint.

That means they handle things "in their own way". So even though the ribbon and function names look similar, they way things work can be very different.

Sorry, I don't know of a fix for your problem.
