Hi,

I love being able to draw in OneNote but it would be really helpful to be able to add shapes (non transparent) to PDFs or images. The current shapes tool (which cleverly converts free-hand drawn shapes) is great, but the end result is transparent and therefore isn’t useful in lots of design and workflow notes. It would be fantastic if the current shapes tool had an option to ‘fill’ the transparency or if a new option could be included to add a filled shape to a PDF/Image.

Anyone know if I’m missing something or if there’s any workaround for blocking-out part of a PDF or image with a shape?

Thanks!

    Hi Wilson,

As of now, we don't have any options to fill the shapes to make it non-transparent or to draw shapes that are already in solid color. That being said, we encourage you to post this suggestion to our OneNote UserVoice. In this way, our engineers and developers would be able to look further into your concern. We appreciate any feedback that we are getting since this will help us improve our products and services.
