Connection filtering not working

Anonymous

I'd like to simply add an IP address to the allowed list for connection filtering in Office365 Exchange Online.  But when I try to save I get the following error message every time 'Sorry! We couldn't update your organization settings. Please try again. Click here for help'

The help says to wait - so I've waited... and waited.

What do I do now?

I followed the guides to connecting to Office365 through Powershell and was successful - when I enter Get-MsolDomain I can see I'm connected OK.  I followed thisguide.

But.. when I connect to Exchange I get this error - so very little progress

New-PSSession : [outlook.office365.com] Connecting to remote server outlook.office365.com failed with the following

    error message : [ClientAccessServer=LNXP265CA0052,BackEndServer=db6pr10mb0328.eurprd10.prod.outlook.com,RequestId=77511

    Hi Andy,

Thanks for your post. Please help us to use Power Shell to check whether this connection filter policy’ settings:

    1. Connect to Exchange Online PowerShell.
    2. Get-HostedConnectionFilterPolicy.
    3. Then you can check whether this IP address was added to the allow list.

Meanwhile, if the IP address won’t added to the allow list successfully, you can also use Power Shell to set or edit your connection policy settings:

    1. Connect to Exchange Online PowerShell.
    2. Set-HostedConnectionFilterPolicy.
    3. Then please help to try whether you can add the IP address to the allow list by using the cmdlet.

About the error message when you add IP address to the allow list in the EAC, please provide some complete screenshot to us for further analysis, you can also help to provide following information:

    1. Send us your Office 365 account to us via Private Message.
    2. Have your organization changed the subscription for this Office 365 account?

    Thanks,

    Richard
