You mentioned that you have finally managed to do a backup after 3 attempts. We would like to clarify if this has somehow resolved the issue for you or if you are still getting the error messages. The code 0x8024002d is basically an error that is associated with update failure for Office 2010. The code 0x80070091 on the other hand, is an error associated with failure to do a System restore. Thank you, problem is solved, maybe because of the backup, but Also downloaded and ran Windows download C:\Uses\Use\Downloads\wu170509diacab windows update Troubleshoot and help prevent computer  problems. Windows update. Background intelligent Transfer Services. Windows Network Diagnostics. Either or fixed it! Happy now, appreciate assistance. Now to get converter program to convert music files to MP3!.

Hello Liezle,

I upgraded from windows 8 to 10. Also installed Windows 365, 2016, 64 bit.

Automatic update try to update Service Pack 2, 32 bit for Office 2010 (KB 2687455)? Tried to create recover point and it says critical update needed and refers to this service pack and gives me error code 0x80024002d.

Also received error code 0x80070091 when I opened Word 2010, File, help, about Microsoft Application name 7,version 14.0.7015.1000 (32 bit) and then it carries on about "equal or not greater than 32 bit".

apologies if I am not clear enough, grey hair explains all!

After 3 attempts I managed to do a backup, every time the message was "could not finish". Trying to sort out my laptop and plan to download program to convert music files to MP 3.

There could be some corruptions that happened while doing the download hence the error. Allow us to verify a few details so we can properly isolate the concern.

• Are you trying to install Office 2010 as an upgrade or is this a re-installation?
• Were you trying to download the file from this link?
• At what point of the download process did you encounter the error?
• What is the current OS build that is installed on your PC?
