Using flow on premises

Hi

I'm working on a Sharepoint application that will be used both in the cloud and locally on-premises. We've been looking into flow to use for some of the approval logic within the application. We've created several flows and tested them with Sharepoint online.

The issue that we have run into is that flow only seems to work on a cloud environment but not on a fully on-premises set up. So my question is, is there a way to have flow run on an isolated on-premises environment? We want flow to be tightly integrated with Sharepoint on-premises. I may have overlooked something in my research and want to make sure I have this right.

Thank you.

Hi Ebrahim,

Microsoft Flow is a public cloud service only. However, you can securely connect to your own on-premises services through the on-premises data gateway.

You can connect to services on your local network using the on-premises data gateway.

You can also check FAQ’s about Flow: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/flow/frequently-asked-questions

Since your query is related to Flow, I’ll suggest you create a new thread in Microsoft Flow Community if you need further help. If you have any issue related to SharePoint 2013 On-Prem, please create the thread in SharePoint 2013 On-Premises forum

Your understanding is highly appreciated.

Regards,

Neha
