OneNote Error 0xE402005F

I'm having trouble syncing a OneNote Notebook. I get error code  0xE402005F. When I go to my OneNote notebooks online in a web browser and try to open this specific Notebook. It says, "We're sorry, something went wrong and we can't load this content. Refreshing the browser may fix the problem.?" How can I recover this page/tab in my notebook? It's just one tab within the notebook that is doing this, all the other tabs work and sync correctly. Refreshing the browser does nothing to fix it.

Hi Tony,

If you're unable to open and view the notebook in OneNote Online, the source of the sync problem is likely with your server. If your notebook is stored on OneDrive, check our Service Status page for any known interruptions or outages. If your notebook is stored on SharePoint, you’ll need to contact your administrator to report and troubleshoot the problem.

WARNING: Signing in or out of OneNote (or removing and reinstalling the app) is not recommended for troubleshooting, as this could result in data loss.

Meanwhile, please provide the following information:

  1. Please clarify where your notebook is stored. Is it in your OneDrive personal account (e.g. ***@outlook.com)?
  2. A screenshot of the error message in OneNote Online.

Thanks,

Tina

    Hi Tony,

Currently there is no need to provide your account. We simply would like to know its format to tell it is a work or school account (e.g. ***@yourdomain.com) or Microsoft account (e.g. ***@outlook.com). From your description, it is a work or school account. Thanks for the information.

Regarding the issue, please check the following steps and check if there is any improvement:

    1. Try a different browser and an InPrivate browser.
    2. Copy the affected content to a different section in your OneNote client.

If the issue still occurs, could you please also provide the following information?

    1. A screenshot of the error code on your OneNote client.
    2. Does the issue occur to other people?
    3. What actions have you performed before the issue occurred for the first time? For example, a system update and a software installation.
    4. Your Office version.

For Office version, you can find it by clicking File > Account > Product Information. Please capture a screenshot of the entire information under Product Information. About Office: What version of Office am I using?

    Thanks,

    Tina

Our One Drive is through OneDrive for Business, the server status is good.

    1. The notebook is stored in our OneDrive for business in my personal account here at work. I do not feel comfortable providing my specific account ID. Also, it's not a whole notebook that is having the issue, it's just one specific tab or page if you will, within the notebook.
    2. This is the error I'm getting in OneNote Online, and yes I've refreshed the browser. It's been like this for a week or two now.
