Good Day Sir or Ma'am,
I'm an extreme novice with Excel and this is the first time I'm working with it. I'm trying to create a Spreadsheet and Workbook with cascading dependent cells. As I'm not familiar with the correct terminology, allow me to explain:
I'm trying to create cells that will allow me to choose options from a dropdown list and depending on the selection, another cell will automatically provide another dropdown list, e.g. if I choose an option from a dropdown list in F5, another dropdown list in G5 with specific options will be available and again, if I choose an option from the list in G5, specific options will be available in H5. I
've tried to follow several online tutorials but I've yet to be successful. I've tried different formulas and functions (based on the tutorials) and haven't had any luck. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.
Very Respectfully,
Ephraim

You have to keep following that chain which you followed for Continent to Country. That for Country, you will need to create the columns for those country for Country to State. You can go to any level but it will soon become complex to manage but doable if you follow the steps.
Hi Ephram, have a look at the step-by-step on this article with regard to creating dependent drop down lists in excel . . .
Thank you very much for your quick reply.
Perhaps I'm not understanding something or I am not being clear. I apologize.
If I may use the example you provide on your blog, what I'm trying to accomplish is the following:
Suppose I create a dropdown cell/list of the continents. When/if I choose North America, another dropdown cell/list of countries becomes available (but only the countries of North America). When/if I choose USA, in turn, another dropdown cell/list of states becomes available. And this continues to cities and onto towns...
I have created a guide on my blog..Follow this..If you have any follow up question, please do ask me.
